Information for Surrogates
First, let me thank you for your interest in becoming a surrogate. Surrogates are very special people put on this earth to help others achieve their dreams of parenthood. It takes a very special person to be a surrogate and you are a selfless person for even considering it. Whether you chose my agency, someone else's or you go the independent route, you are going to touch someone's life in a very special way.
Surrogates in our program are healthy both emotionally and physically. They have altruistic reasons for wanting to be a surrogate mother. They are parenting at least one child and have a history of normal pregnancies and deliveries. They are not receiving public assistance and have the emotional support of their families behind them. Ages range from 21-40 years of age.
Surrogates with our agency receive:
~As much or as little emotional support, guidance and hand holding that you are comfortable with by someone who has been there. We understand that everyone is different and you may want more or less support and involvement than others. We are available 24/7 for emergency support.
~A great compensation package;
Compensation is $20,000 for a first time surrogate, $25,000+* for an experienced surrogate
Additional $5,000 per baby
Cycling allowance of $300 per month
Pre-cycle allowance $200
Monthly allowance during pregnancy of $200
Maternity clothing $750

~An online support group. Surrogates will be added to the agency only e-mail group. You will be able to share your experiences and ask questions to other women who have either been there or are going through the same things you are.
~Facilitation between you, doctors offices and attorneys.
~On time payments. We do not believe you should have to call and "remind" us that your payment is due.
*If you would like to have some flexibility in your contract in regards to compensation, we are open to this. However, keep in mind that it may take longer to match you.
The screening process is as follows:
Hysteroscopy/HCG/HSG
The Reproductive Endocrinologist will use this test to visualize your uterus and fallopian tubes to make sure they are clear of fibroids and of normal shape. During this test, they will inject saline or dye through a small tube that they put into your uterus and use an ultrasound machine to visualize your uterus and tubes.
Blood Tests
The doctor will test your blood and that of your partners for infectious diseases and STD's.
Pap smear and general physical
You will have a routine pap smear and physical to ensure that you are in good general health.
Psychological testing
You will be required to undergo psychological counseling and testing. You will take a test called the MMPI, it is a test to determine your overall personality type and should not be feared. You will also undergo a home visit as well.
Medical Records Review
Some of the doctors we work with require you to provide you prenatal records. In the case of a multiple pregnancy, pre-term labor or complications will not necessarily exclude you from being a surrogate. Each pregnancy is different. It is unlikely that we can accept a surrogate who has had a complicated pregnancy or pre-term birth (Before 37 weeks) while carrying a singleton. Women who have had multiple miscarriages are also unlikely to be accepted.
Once your application is accepted, a background check will also be conducted as well as a home visit and/or thorough reference check.
We currently specialize in gestational surrogate arrangements, we hope to extended our services to traditional surrogates and egg donors in the future.
